Spider Bite ?

About a month ago I woke up in the morning with a serious swelling and immense pain in my finger. There was no sign of injury when I went to sleep, so whatever happened occurred during the night. The pictures here show what it looked like after two weeks up to the breaking point. The skin finally opened up and secreted alot of yellowish brown fluid for a few days and then the swelling began to reduce in size. Now it has been two more weeks and it is finally almost back to a normal state. Spider Bite !? I think so !!!!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Beyond

Beyond the amazing homes positioned on the shoreline of Kahaluu-Keauhou are more homes scattered across the hillside of Kailua-Kona. Continuing Beyond that is the spectacular Mauna Loa peeking through the skyline. I love this amazing place.

Motorcycles

I’ve been riding motorcycles for over 15 years now on and off. In fact I had my motorcycle endorsement before I even had a regular drivers licence. My first motorcycle was a 2001 Buell Blast. I only kept that bike for one season and sold it before winter because I didn’t really have a place to store it.

My second motorcycle was also a Buell Blast, but with this one I think I spent more time tearing it apart and making modifications to it than actual riding. I had just as much fun doing that.  Some of the work is documented here buellblastmodifications.wordpress.com.

After that I owned a mess of a bike for about a week. It was a 1981 GS 750. I had that bike just long enough to get it running and sell it on down the road before it ended up costing me too much money.

My next bike was a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250r. Riding that Kawasaki was an entirely different experience than the Buell. Even though the engine was half the size it went down the road twice as good. I had a great time riding that bike but ended up selling it to help fund a trip.

I am currently in search for my next bike, the one that will take me 6000+ miles around the U.S. very soon. You can follow me on that adventure at twowheelin.wordpress.org .

Comment here with links to your motorcycles ~ I’d love to see what everyone else has!

Dear comrades at arms,

Things are very much on their way. Every minute, every hour is filled with progression, support, donations, accusations, bad and good news. It is what the elite troops of H.M. Royal SAS call: “It is rather lively!”. I freely use the quote because of my family connection with this corps to the late Jerry Walters a.k.a. Permanent Dad, “who dares wins”.

Henk's been collecting tattoo related stuff for over 35 years, he knows a lot about the history and is very passionate about the legacy.

Dear supporters,

It's heartwarming to see you all jump in to help in this absurd situation! Personally I am so so grateful. I never saw Henk this defeated but then you all jumped in. I want to ask you please continue as long as it takes cause the four years of sitting around tables, planning, drawing, looking for a building, endless conversations and in the end only three months to complete the best we could before the opening last year.
